  1. Enter your NIC-Handle and password to option Suspension/Reactivation, of a domain, in Frequent Procedures.

  2. Select the domain you would like to suspend or reactivate.

  3. Send the online Domain Name Request form.

For the Third Level Domain Name, the suspension or reactivation of the domain will be applied at a maximum of 24-working hours, after NIC-Internet Costa Rica has received the Request form and has approved it. NIC-Internet Costa Rica will automatically send an online notice to all the Contacts notifying them about the suspension or reactivation, and from that moment, the countdown for the 24-working hours will begin. The 24-working-hour period is the valid period except in case of force majeure events, which are out of control of the National Academy of Sciences and its office, NIC-Internet Costa Rica. For Second Level Domain Name changes in the Primary DNS database and server, accordingly, the maximum time to apply these changes would be a 24-calendar-hour period. The other conditions mentioned above will apply as well.
